If you're reading this, you're probably on the hunt for a great plastic surgeon. Look no further! I am so happy I chose Dr. Diaz for my breast augmentation. I am now 2.5 months post-op and my results are incredible!I researched so many LA area plastic surgeons and had multiple consultations, but ended up booking my surgery the day I met with Dr. Diaz. Unlike other surgeons, he spent an hour on our initial consultation and explained everything in great detail and answered all my questions. I ended up having more questions later prior to my surgery, and he met with me in person a second time for another consult to make sure all my questions were answered, and he did not charge me for his time. In addition to that, he spoke with me several times on the phone when I had other questions or changes regarding our surgical plan. He has a very warm bedside manner and has a way of easing your fears.I was very nervous to have elective surgery and be under general anesthesia for the first time, but the surgery was a breeze! He has an excellent anesthesiologist that works with him full time. She called me the night before and went over the anesthetic plan in detail. The day of, she used essential oils for relaxation during induction, and placed the IV while I was inhaling anesthetic gas. I barely even remember it. The next thing I knew, I was being discharged. I woke up in minimal pain, zero nausea and no sore throat.I was scheduled for a breast augmentation and anchor lift, but Dr. Diaz downgraded my lift to a donut lift during surgery because he felt that achieved the best aesthetic result once the implant was placed. This was a happy surprise for me when I woke up! I believe many other surgeons would have performed the more expensive procedure. The results are so beautiful! They're the perfect shape. I can tell Dr. Diaz is a perfectionist in his work. My inframammary incisions look great, just a clean thin line that is perfectly hidden in the crease. I don’t even know where to start. I had high expectations, but the result is beyond amazing. I had breast augmentation done by Dr Diaz first week of January 2025. From the consultation, to surgery, to recovery and final result I am absolutely blown away. In addition to the perfect shape, cleavage and placement, part of my ribcage was protruding (for a lack of a better word) and the implant completely covers that and has in doing so erased an insecurity of mine. Uneven Breast Reconstruction HeroYou'd think the easiest thing to do would be to find a stellar breast doctor in Los Angeles, the city of Angels with perfect breasts,but it's a LOT harder than you'd think!I've struggled with congenital tuberous breast deformity with EXTREME uneveness since I was 14 and had undergone multiple unsuccessful surgeries, including breast reductions, implants, and mastopexy. I was desperate for a solution that would address my uneven breasts without the pain and maintenance of implants.After consulting with several surgeons in the South Bay of Los Angeles, and around Orange county and Beverly Hills, I was disheartened by their dismissive attitudes and pushy sales tactics. They seemed more interested in upselling secondary procedures than addressing my specific needs.After months of research, I met Dr. Diaz. He was incredibly patient, understanding, and knowledgeable about breast reconstruction. Unlike the others, he didn't try to force implants on me. Instead, he explained the benefits of a more natural approach using fat grafting, mammoplasty, and mastopexy. Surgeries that require skill and time that unlike the implant-only doctors seem to want to avoid.I'm now four days post-surgery, and I'm already feeling a sense of relief and hope. It already looks incredible even bruised and stitched up, the pain is minimal, and I'm incredibly grateful for Dr. Diaz's expertise and compassionate care.As a note, I can't use narcotics because of a worry of an autoimmune disease flare-up, and am just on extra strength Tylenol and the pain has been bearable. He's a true expert in breast reconstruction, and he'll work with you to find the best solution for your individual needs, not the easiest surgery for him to do, he's an artisan.Here's how I chose my breast surgeon:1. Check a lot of 3rd party reviews, "doesn't listen to patient" is a red flag:Dr. Diaz and his staff listen and that helped manage my anxiety and answer questions without belittling2. Has alternatives to implants for breast reconstruction:Implants aren't always bad, but you need to replace them every 10 or so years and do you want to do that at 60? 70? A skilled breast surgeon has options.3. Are they treating you like a patient or being dismissive?Cosmetic surgery for congenital defects or for breast issues from cancer treatments can be very psychologically damaging and we're sensitive and exhausted. Insensitive doctors are the WORST.If the surgeon is treating it like you're a vain idiot trying to get a mole removed and being rude and dismissive, walk out. But they should be honest too, a good doctor tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear just to make a sale.Dr. Diaz understands congenital defects and my guess is he's also incredibly good with purely cosmetic issues too, he takes it seriously.4 Cost: While the mastopexy and mammoplasty were out of the scope of my insurance, the implants explant weren't, and Dr. Diaz's office submitted it to my insurance for me.My local surgeons said to me directly "we don't touch your insurance, you do that on your own"As a note, two of the explant / implants quotes I received from the local cosmetic surgeons were about what Dr. Diaz charged for a much more skilled and professional surgery.So if you're feeling lost and hopeless and feeling like you have no hope but to go through life with huge saline or silicone filled breast with absolutely unnatural cleavage, you don't.Go to Dr. Diaz, get real breasts.They'll have scars that will heal, but they'll look and feel free and real and like your own real breasts.And if you have had severe tuberous breast deformity and different surgeries to correct that didn't really work, you won't believe you can be this happy.UPDATE: Less than one month post-op the lack of scarring on my breasts and areola is unbelievable. 😭🙏🏼 Less

Let me start by saying, I went to multiple consultations w different surgeons. I liked all of them for different reason, but I couldn’t make up my mind as to who I should go to for my tummy tuck and breast aug. When I went to my consult with Dr. Diaz, I KNEW he was who I felt most comfortable w doing my surgery. He was confident, explained everything, took as much time with me as I needed, to make sure I understood the whole process, and very kind and down to earth. He implement all the things I had researched and wanted for my surgery, including the internal progressive tension sutures and glue for the incision.The day before surgery, the anesthesiologist called me and spent 30 mins on the phone with me, answering all of my questions and reassuring me. It’s officially been one year since my rhinoplasty and I couldn’t be happier. After doing some research of the best surgeon in LA, I came across Dr. Díaz and his outstanding reviews. Back in early 2020, I was looking forward to celebrating my 40th birthday, which ended up being unexpectedly lonely due to the pandemic that hit us all. After several years of wearing masks went by, I grew more and more unhappy with the only part of my face that the world could now see: my eyes. I piled on concealer under my eyes to try and hide the growing bags, which worked less and less. I purchased all the creams, masks and retinoids and nothing worked. Eventually I decided to speak with my Dermatologist about it, who said she could help me with some under eye filler, but the only thing that truly worked to remove eye bags was getting a blepharoplasty by a Plastic Surgeon. I decided to get the eye filler, which helped, but over time the bags came back and bothered me more than ever. I decided to ask one of my best friends that had work done on her chin, who the doctor was that performed the procedure. She told me his name was Dr. John Diaz, that he was in Bev Hills and that he was amazing, so I worked up the courage to make an appointment for a consultation.I was extremely nervous to meet with Dr. Diaz, and was relieved to discover that he was very warm and kind, extremely knowledgeable and took a LOT of time to answer all of the questions I had, and there were many. We discussed doing both the upper and lower eyelids to help them look more (age) uniform, which was exciting to me since I had never thought of doing both. I wanted some time to think about it and as the days passed on, I couldn’t stop thinking about how exciting it would be to finally be rid of my sad saggy eyes. He even took the time to meet with me again, to help cover a few final questions – this was my face after all! I could tell he truly cared and after spending so much time with him, I trusted him to cut it open. I decided to book it.Everyone in Dr. Diaz’s office was very friendly, and I especially appreciated Crystal at the front desk since she took my initial call and was very helpful with all the questions I had right off the bat. The night before the procedure, I was extremely nervous. Dr. Diaz’s Anesthesiologist called me and talked through what to expect the following day and addressed all my concerns around what was about to happen. I met with Nurse Sophie in the morning, and she was very assuring and also helped calmed my nerves throughout all of the pre-op preparations. The procedure itself was pretty straightforward and now that nearly 6 months have passed, I am incredibly happy with my results, and am so thankful that Dr. Diaz had suggested that I do the upper eyes as well. One of my upper eyelids had sagged so much over time that they became quite uneven and Dr. Diaz was even able to get them symmetric again, which has made a huge difference in my appearance. I can even wear eyeliner without drawing a crazy shape only fit for hooded eyes! I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Diaz and his team, and will definitely reach out to him again if I ever consider making other changes in the future. Less

After literally 300+ hours of research across 10+ states, I've booked w/ Dr. Diaz for a lift + augmentation this July, 2024. I'm impressed with his proof of low-blood techniques, top scholarly credentials and continued education. He did a study on himself where he was peer-reviewed, and the results were published (for you statistics nerds). The link is on his page. Most docs would attempt to bury such data. Dr. Diaz has lifts + augmentation examples with no more than 400cc(ish) which indicates he's doing an honest job in informing women when they need lifts. He's safer--obvious from his YouTube videos and his published study (thank you). I have children. I can't get sick or have an infection. I've tried to find a less expensive doctor w/ the same safety & honest protocol as Diaz. To me, it's all worth it because I want it done right the first time safely & classy. Looking at the before and after photos on RealSelf, Instagram, Yelp, and Dr. Diaz's website, I knew there was no one else I wanted to see for breast augmentation surgery as his results are flawless. It has taken me some time to gather the words to write a review for Dr. Diaz but, for all the right reasons. I underwent a breast augmentation in late December 2023 and since then, I have not been the same person. I am so much more confident! One of my biggest insecurities is now one of my favorite things about myself, all thanks to Dr. Diaz. I had mentioned to a friend that it was a dream of mine to get a breast augmentation. She immediately told me that she had an upcoming surgery with Diaz and that she could help me set up a consultation if I was interested. This review is long overdue. I’m 5 months post-op from a tummy tuck. I’m beyond thrilled with the results! My stomach is flat just like I wanted. The scar is a work of art. It’s placed perfectly and is super thin. As an African-American woman I was afraid the scar would be dark and very visible. But I was afraid for nothing. My scar just looks like a thin scratch from hip to hip. If you’ve ever been scratched by a cat, it’s about as thin as that. Dr. Diaz’s work is impeccable! Had an amazing experience with Dr Diaz and his staff!Patty coordinated with me everything for preop. She was always quick to reply when I had questions and concerns. She took her time going over instructions and was in constant communication with me leading up to surgery.Nurse Jamie took care of me when I arrived the morning of surgery. I'm not sure if she also took care of me post op as I have 0 recollection. But I remember her to be very warm and empathetic preop and took the time to make sure I was comfortable.Lani took care of me at my 1 week post of visit. I highly recommend Dr. John Diaz for rhinoplasty. Dr. Diaz and his wonderful team exceeded my expectations. They deserve more than 5 stars.I started doing my research in January 2020. Dr. Diaz had everything I was looking for in a surgeon -- credentials, experience, natural results, location, and the bonus of the surgical procedure done there in his office so there's no confusion about going to a different location or added costs for anesthesiologist, hospital fees, etc. You go to one place for the consultation, surgery, cast removal, and follow ups. I called in August to set up my consultation in September, and was extremely happy with the projected results he showed me with his top of the line equipment/software. I knew he was the surgeon for me and set up the surgery for November! Gina, the patient care coordinator, was absolutely amazing. She helped organize everything, answered my questions, told me where to go for my Covid test, picked up my Dr. Diaz rhinoplasty kit and medicine. All the women at the front desk were also amazing and exceptional! Thank you Alexi for your help at the cast removal, you're wonderful and professional. You can really tell when people love their jobs and it's a reflection on the surgeon's work as well.I cannot stress enough how minimal the pain was. I was at a 2/10 the whole recovery week. And the pain was really just the discomfort of the breathing tube (which went away after a day) and then having to breathe through the mouth. That's it. I didn't feel any other pain, Dr. Diaz really took care of me because the recovery was a breeze. Thank you as well to the anesthesiologist, Dr. Mermelstein, this was my first surgery and I appreciate the call before the surgery and after to make sure I was doing well.I now have such a cute nose. He has top notch credentials and experience, add on the fact that his bedside manner is impeccable and you have yourself a recipe for the perfect experience!Second: The office/Staff. The office is easy to find with convenient parking/valet. The staff for the most part during my visits has been very nice & accommodating; a direct reflection of the doctor himself and his management!I narrowed my choices down to two doctors, Dr. Diaz and one closer to where I live but due to scheduling conflicts Dr. Diaz was able to see me first. 28 years old, negative A chest and was in need of a change. I did a lot of research to find the best Doctor and I finally came across one! Dr. John Diaz and his Practice Manager, Meghan are phenomenal. I had my surgery Feb. 1, 2012 and not only did I experience NO pain at all, 1 week later I was back to work. By the second week I started light arm stretches because I had my cut under the breast so my scars will not show, gladly they are fading fast. I'll be 6 weeks in a couple of days with no regrets and back to my regular routine. We orignally agreed I would get Saline, under the muscle 375cc's but during surgery Dr. Diaz made a great judgement call and stopped at 360ccs so they look very natural, feel amazingly soft and I would have less chance of looking like a barbie, not only was that very comforting to know I was in great hands but also that he cares about his clients.
